OVERVIEW

Immersed in a breathtaking landscape and as a strategic starting point for many exciting itineraries, Serra San Quirico is a village located in the "Marche" region, set between the coastal road and inland hills, in the province of Ancona. Its historical centre, of medieval expression, protected by well-preserved walls and crossed by the "Copertelle" - covered passages that mark out its perimeter - testifies, step by step, to its long history. One of the rarest jewels is hidden in its historic heart: the church of Santa Lucia with its bulbous bell tower, one of the masterpieces of Italian Baroque churches.

Hidden behind its austere façade, the church's interior reveals itself to the traveller in all its splendour, as wonderful as it's unexpected. Thanks to an extraordinary fusion of history, art and beauty, the church offers the visitor the possibility of taking a journey through time, beyond what appears to be obvious and known, capable of awakening strong emotions.
The church is located inside the monumental and museum complex of the same name,  managed by the Regional Natural Park of the "Gola della Rossa e di Frasassi".

To be captivated by the wonders of the church of Santa Lucia, to discover the treasures and secrets of the historic centre which houses it, to lose oneself in its paths, means having the opportunity to live a unique and memorable travel experience.
